Japanese Beetles came out this week, probably around June 27th, really bad today. Sprayed Seven on the roses and cherry trees and it really works. Beetles on eveything else although not eating everything. Roses blooming. Astilbe blooming. Left garden still a mess. Will thin this weekend and replant some. Island garden needs pruned but will have to wait until fall. Thinking of making it a rock garden. Rhodedendron look okay, new buds for next year forming.
