Japanese Beetles everywhere. Lots of leaves turned to lace on the Cherry Tree in front of house. Sprayed tree last week and the beetles still ate the leaves. Red roses okay, pink roses on side eaten a bit. Everything growing very well. Shrubs are to big and should be pruned. Have to check what is the best time to prune. Bee Balm blooming. Day lilies in fromt of house starting to bloom. Oriental lilies on edge of fern field blooming but need more light. Planted some day lilies on edge of fern field, they should be better and will plant more. Astilbe still blooming, blooming now for about 2-3 weeks. Black Eyed Susans not blooming yet, but should be next week. Rhodedendron on edge of woods doing well and getting buds for next year. Russian sage blooming. Put in a red rose bush.
