Garden filling in. Front center bed looking just okay. First impression when we drove in was it was messy. From a distance it looks good but up close it looks like a collection of plants too randomly planted. Maybe that everything is green and there are no flowers yet. Needs some flowers and some color and shape variation. Bed near the garage looks good but all the plants need pruning because its starting to look stuffed. New thin evergreen looks good. Anabelle hydrangea in that bed still not blooming. All the boxwoods are too big. Bed near the woods looks okay. Needs thinning out. Bee balm needs thining. In the spring it looks so barren, have to remember what it grows into. Tranplanted some lambs ears to the right side of the walkway. Caged the tomatoes. Tomatoes on right side of house growing better than those on the left side. Spearmint going crazy., Vision Astilbe starting to bloom others will bloom later (maybe next week). Pink roses stareted blooming. Red roses should be blooming next week. Globemaster alium still blooming. Rozane geranium blooming. Looks good by the drive but a little leggy in bed by the woods.. Hydrangea by light mixed. Only one of the endless day has blooms. The others may be crowded out by the spirea which need pruning badly. Will prune in the fall. Deer ate the PeeGee Hydrangea. Sprayed with Liquid Fence. Fed the roses. Saw some slugs and 1 caterpillar (not the problem it was last year).
