Been gone for 3 weeks. Garden overgrown, have to figure out what to prune and what to pull out. Boxwoods need pruning badly. What is the best time to prune and how often? Ligularia bloomed and is almost done. Black-eyed Susans still look great. Roses blooming for a second time. Grasses have seeds. Japaneses beetles still attacking roses. Thought they's be gone by now. Roses look pretty beat up because we were away and could not spray. The biggest succes this year was the Roxanne geraniums. Spirea that was pruned has grown alot and is blooming again. Large ferns starting to die off. Lilly of the valley starting to die off

To Do:

Transfer some Daylilies to fern field

Plant some daisy seeds in fern field

Move hostas in back of house and plant hydrangea

Cut back iris and peonies
